Every Tall Tale starts with a story.

Tall Mike’s Tall Tales began at bedtime.

One night, my daughter couldn't sleep, so I made up a story about Little Red Riding Hood and her best friend, Ricky Wigglewhiskers.
She loved it.

Then she asked me to tell it again.

And again.

And again.

Eventually, I started thinking that maybe other children (and their parents) would enjoy the story, too.

So I turned that bedtime story into a book.
